Bill every visit from the visit itself
When the bill is created from the consultation record, it is much harder for a visit to go unbilled.
Record the payment reference
For UPI and bank transfers, record the UTR or reference number. It makes end-of-day reconciliation a matter of minutes.
Lock finalised bills
Once a bill is issued, it should not be quietly edited. Cancel and re-issue instead, so there is always a clear trail.
Review daily
A short daily look at billed versus collected amounts catches problems while they are still easy to fix.
